Project Overview

Arushi met with key stakeholders across teams that are involved with onboarding new clients such as the salesforce team, the sales and marketing team, and client-focused product teams. She used the information she received to figure out how to create an onboarding experience that guides clients through registration and setting up users and roles, theming, migrating their content, and more. The overarching goal was to offer help to users and create an experience where the user is easily capable of doing things on their own first before seeking help. The secondary goal was to reuse as many of the current templates as possible. Arushi filled the void by creating templates that were necessary to stitch the full experience together such as an email message and the onboarding dashboard with new header options.

Brainstorming and Ideation Session

I had a brainstorming session months before Arushi took over the project and brought it to a good conclusion. During the brainstorming session, I wanted to explore how the very manual process of onboarding work with the current system. This was the basis to figure out how to create a more self-service client-driven experience where they can handle the process on their own taking the pressure off of the teams that needed to manually tackle onboarding.

  Whiteboard Sketching Session

I put together quick and dirty whiteboard sketches of needed layouts that fit into the process flow diagram above. I also ran the layouts by stakeholders to get their feedback.

 UI Layouts

Arushi took over the project and worked on creating a conducive UI experience filling in additional gaps and figuring out how to put everything together with an impactful onboarding dashboard.
